As a part of the BCC’s Pitchfest produced by Daniel Cramer, Onyi: A Sketch Show is one of the 11 pilots that will be showcased to industry professionals with Sony TV first looks. Onyi is a laugh out loud sketch show that follows the escapades of a young woman trying to survive the jungles of New York. Come along for a ride filled with sketches that reimagine the underground railroad, brings Shakespeare to life, and offers a new rendition of Boyz in the Hood! It's sure to have you rolling in laughter!

Branded Silk Show
Branded Silk is an improv trio forged from the fires of friendship and adversity. All black and all about that sauce. Branded Silk is composed of Onyi Okoli, Jeffrey Kitt, and Aaron LaRoche.
Collectively, the trio have been performing improv for over two decades from the Upright Citizen's Brigade, to the Magnet, to the People's Improv Theater, to colleges across the east coast, and now here in the lovely Brooklyn Comedy Collective. Using the slacker improv form, the trio explores and creates worlds lampooning the realities and absurdities of being black in the world and when it's not that, it's just plain ole' dumb funny improv stuff.

Intro to Improv
This class is limited to 14 students.
First time taking an improv class? You’re in the right place, Brooklyn’s top comedy theater and school!
This class will introduce new improvisers to the value of saying “Yes, and” to every idea (especially their own) to become joyful, fearless, and bold performers. Through games and exercises this class will teach students to react emotionally and honestly, to trust your gut, to support scene partners and embrace taking risks. These skills are essential to successful improvisation! Whether you want to be a performer or try out a class to meet new people, this class is bound to boost your confidence and creativity in a safe and supportive environment.
This class culminates in a performance for the public.
7-Week Class: Saturdays, 3:00 - 6:00 PM, January 14 - February 25
Note: Class may end between 5:30 - 6:00 PM depending on the number of enrollments.
